About

Nicholas Breslow is an artist and designer based in New York City.  His work resides at the intersection of art and technology, at the meeting place of classic and contemporary.

Nick has an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University and studied clothing design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.  He has studied under Scott Eaton, learning digital figure sculpture and anatomy, completed courses at the Gnomon School in Los Angeles and received computer graphics training at the School for Visual Arts.

Drawing on years of experience working in the fashion industry for companies like Jill Stuart and Liz Claiborne Nick has developed a unique set of artistic skills that lend themselves to his specialty, digitally sculpted and textured 3D characters.  Nick's knowledge of costume history and clothing construction techniques, combined with intensive study of human anatomy and traditional sculpture, make for realistic, expressive results.  His work is suitable for any medium (motion, game, print, visualization) and is created using the latest technology available (cloth simulation, HDR environment lighting, custom shaders,etc.).

Away from the computer Nick is an avid photographer whose images have been featured all over the web on sites like Flickr, Immaculate Infatuation, Empire Guides, in the printed edition of JPG Magazine, and the feature documentary Radioman.
